1. Who we are

Aqariyo ("Aqariyo", "we", "us") operates a global online travel agency at aqariyo.com for hotel bookings, long stays and staycations, connecting travellers with hotels, serviced residences and accommodation partners worldwide. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data when you use our website, mobile experiences and related services (the "Platform").

2. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, phone, password (hashed), profile photo, role (traveller, accommodation partner, admin).
• Booking data: stays you search and save, guest names, check-in and check-out dates, occupancy, room and rate selections, special requests and booking references.
• Payment data: processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
• Contact submissions: data you provide via our Contact, Careers and lead forms.
• Authentication providers: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.
• Device and usage data: IP address, device identifiers, browser, pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location.
• Cookies and similar technologies: session, preference and analytics cookies.

3. How we use your data

• Operate the Platform, create your account and authenticate you.
• Search availability, confirm, amend and cancel bookings with accommodation partners and suppliers.
• Personalize search results, saved searches and recommendations.
• Send transactional messages (booking confirmations, password resets, stay updates).
• Detect fraud, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Comply with legal obligations in the jurisdictions where we operate.

4. Sharing with accommodation partners

When you make a booking or send an enquiry, we share the details needed to deliver your stay — such as guest names, dates, occupancy and contact details — with the hotel, accommodation supplier or operator. They become an independent controller of that data for the purposes of your stay.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use first-party cookies for sessions and preferences, and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the Platform is used and improve it. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

6. Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your basic profile and verified email with Aqariyo to create or link your account. We never receive your Google password. You can disconnect Aqariyo from your Google Account at any time.

7. Data sharing

We share personal data only with:

• Hotels, accommodation suppliers and operators needed to fulfil your booking or enquiry.
• Service providers (hosting, payments, email, analytics) under contract.
• Authorities where required by applicable law or to protect users.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure for legal and operational reasons. Booking and enquiry records are retained for up to 24 months unless required longer by law.

9. Your rights

You may request to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing. Email hello@aqariyo.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

11. International transfers

Aqariyo operates internationally, so your data may be processed outside your country of residence — including by accommodation partners in your destination. Where this happens we use appropriate safeguards in line with applicable data protection law.

12. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be highlighted on the Platform and reflected in the effective date above.
