1. Who we are

Aqariyo ("Aqariyo", "we", "us") operates Qatar's property marketplace at aqariyo.com, connecting renters, buyers, short-stay guests, agents, agencies and developers. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data when you use our website, mobile experiences and related services (the "Platform").

2. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, phone, password (hashed), profile photo, role (user, agent, agency, developer, admin).
• Property and lead data: listings you save, inquiries you send, messages with agents, applications you submit.
• Contact submissions: data you provide via our Contact, Careers and lead forms.
• Authentication providers: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.
• Device and usage data: IP address, device identifiers, browser, pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location.
• Cookies and similar technologies: session, preference and analytics cookies.

3. How we use your data

• Operate the Platform, create your account and authenticate you.
• Connect renters and buyers with agents, agencies and developers.
• Personalize search results, saved searches and recommendations.
• Send transactional messages (inquiries, password resets, listing updates).
• Detect fraud, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Comply with legal obligations in the State of Qatar and other jurisdictions where we operate.

4. Lead and inquiry sharing

When you submit an inquiry on a property, we share the relevant contact details with the listing agent, agency or developer so they can respond. They become an independent controller of that data for follow-up purposes.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use first-party cookies for sessions and preferences, and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the Platform is used and improve it. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

6. Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your basic profile and verified email with Aqariyo to create or link your account. We never receive your Google password. You can disconnect Aqariyo from your Google Account at any time.

7. Data sharing

We share personal data only with:

• Listing partners you choose to contact (agents, agencies, developers).
• Service providers (hosting, email, analytics) under contract.
• Authorities where required by Qatari law or to protect users.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure for legal and operational reasons. Inquiry and lead records are retained for up to 24 months unless required longer by law.

9. Your rights

You may request to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing. Email hello@aqariyo.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

11. International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside Qatar. Where this happens we use appropriate safeguards in line with applicable Qatari data protection requirements.

12. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be highlighted on the Platform and reflected in the effective date above.
